Hi Everyone.

I just took a trip to walmart... it seems like Bacteriostat contains chlorides which are oxidizers correct? This is a bad thing for cooling systems... :/

Man... finding a biocide is tough.

Hmmmm. They sell bateriacide stuff at instrument store for wind instruments... I figure if its safe for my trombone it will be safe for WC

The thing is that your instrument is made of brass which is a fairly non-reactive alloy, copper on the other hand likes to oxidize and the chloride ios will only speed this up. I might be wrong though, it could be reduction instead of oxidation... can't remember Chemistry..
