Will DDR333 memory work in a MB that uses PC133? I know it wont work as DDR333 but will it function as 133? I have extra DDR333 memory and I have this computer that has PC133 in it. I was wondering if this idea would work or not.:)

Nope, it wont Even though DDR is nothing more then SD ram that reads differently it has a slightly different pin set. And I would not suggest jamming into the ram slots either as yor northbridge will probably fry.

Different voltage and pinout. You won't even be able to get it into the dimm slot

Yep, DDR has one notch dealie, SDRAM has two... it'd be like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole.

some boards can run either/or...check out your mobo manual, i know that asus/asrock m266a boards can do it

Well I have not seen SDRAM and DDR on the same mobo but I have seen DDR and Rambus or SDRAM and...can't think of the name but their half the size of DDR...almost like notebook ram.

Ok its a little off topic, but its my 2 cents.

Thats AMD vs Intel
AMD is SD or DDR
Intel is DDR or Rambus

I thought that went without saying.

Just stating what I've seen!

BTW the last one is a type O, It should be SD and simm.
