I have a GeForceTi4600 and I was wondering how to overclock it. In the bios I set the voltage up a notch, i think from 1.5 to 1.6. Is this how to do it?

If you don't have aftermarket cooling on your video card I would not suggest upping the voltage at all. Heat kills electronics very quickly. For overclocking you should use windows based programs. Some good examples are nVHardPage which has CoolBits in it. CoolBits makes the OC page in the Nvidia control panel accessiable. Another good prog is RivaTuner which works outside the Nvidia control panel. You can get either of these prog's at The Guru of 3D's website.

Once you get the programs installed you will want to start out slow 5mhz increments for both memory and gpu then test with Artifact Tester and or 3DMark03. Rinse and repeat until your computer locks up. After rebooting back your OC down about 10mhz and you "should" be good to go.

Just make sure you are not generating a ton of heat with your OC. I can't stress that enough. Like I said above heat kills. Best way to check for heat is after you power off, unplug the power from the comp touch your PSU with both hands then touch the back of the 4600 where the gpu would be. Then touch the memory chips. If it burns you or is extremely hot you need better cooling and should back your OC down even more.

Edit:
Voltage mods can be done but should be used once you have maxed out your cards OC and want more ;)

you justed upped the agp voltage, which really doesnt do anything.
