Does it make sense, that if I set my fsb to 100mhz, with a 5x multiplier, that my abit zm6 would post at 600mhz?

Does it make sense that any multiplier from 1-6 posts 600 on a 100mhz fsb?

Why cant I set my chip for 100mhz at 5x when I can do 83 at 6x, and I have pc100 memory?

Just some things that confuse me about o/c.

You cannot change the multiplier on Intel chips. No matter what you set it to in the BIOS, the CPU will ignore it and use its default setting(which is 6 in you case).
