Looking for an Upgrade

Have a Geforce4 4600 w/ 128 and i am now looking for and upgrad, now that i got the cash :), ive heard good things about the new cards but im wondering what would be my best investment.

The best cards at the moment are the ATi Radeon 9800 Pro and XT, as well as the nVidia FX5900 Ultra and 5950 Ultra. In my estimation, the best in terms of a price/performance ratio out of these would be the 9800 Pro. It is quite a bit cheaper than the other cards, and with OC'ing, will give equivalent performance to the 9800XT, as well as the FX59xx cards.

However, I think you should hold off on an upgrade until the next series of cards from nVidia (NV40) and ATi (R420) come out in around March-April.

The GF4 4600 will still serve you quite well until then as it still is a pretty good performer in games and I don't think you'll see enough of an improvemnt to justify the price in either the 9800 or the 59xx series.
