I dont understand. I have a celery 466, o/c ed to 582 mhz with an FSB of 83, and i am running COOL, i mean 24 degrees. And then , i try to go for 100 FSB, which would put me around 650-700mhz, but it always freezes. WHY? I have sufficient cooling, i dunno whats wrong! Please, any suggestions really appreciated.
forgot to mension, i have to use CPU COOL because i cant tweak anything to do with FSB or power through BIOS. I have an ASUS P3V 133 mobo.

just because the temps are good, doesn't mean that it is going to be able to be 'super-oced'. you may have hit the max the cpu can handle, or try to do some burn in tests. also are you able to bump the vcore up?

Ok, about the vcore, i hear many ppl talking about it. BUT, i cant do **** through BIOS for some reason :( there is no options 4 some reason? Maybe there is a program for it? I dunno. Keep goin, need more help.

I'm not sure if you looked at the database for your chip. It can be found from a link on the main page of this site. You are ABOVE average for those who overclock the 466!
So be 8-)
Things to try would include increasing voltage, taking out SDRAM sticks if you have more than one on your motherboard, removing PCI devices and BIOS tweaking.
BIOS changes that sometimes help folks are to disable video BIOS and system BIOS shadowing. This will likely be an option even if you can't do the BIOS changes for FSB.

Thanks for the tips dude. I saw that one of the options for shadowing is enabled, so ill check that out and tell you if i had any luck :) What would be the most overclockable celery to buy? would it be the 600E?

If you really want to try it there is a hot wiring trick for voltage control of the chips. But with no ability to do changes from the BIOS, you will be limited to trying one voltage at a time with a small wire connection trick.
Just be warned as the posts in the past have pointed out. If you goof you may fry your chip!!!!
