I'm shopping for fast RAM memory at a good price. I prefer a 256 meg stick of something that will be assured of running up to 157 or 160 fsb.
Forget Infineon, that's what I have now. While it was wonderful up to 133, above that, it fell on it's face!
Crucial has the best price at about $100 and people claim it'll do 150 MHz, but it's only rated at PC-133.
The performance of the Muskin PC-133 rev 3 or the new PC-150 is without a doubt, awesome! But, wow! It sure is super expensive and I don't think it's available in 256 meg modules. Doc suggested getting the rev 2 which is a little cheaper, but again, they're not rated for 150 speeds.
What about the Kingmax TinyBGA PC-150 RAM? Cost much less than Mushkin and only a little more than Crucial. It comes in 256 meg sticks and is rated at 150 MHz fsb, plus it's shorter than the rest so it takes up less space on that crowded mobo. Might help air flow around the ICS. I'm very tempted to give the Kingmax a try.
