I'm shopping for fast RAM memory at a good price. I prefer a 256 meg stick of something that will be assured of running up to 157 or 160 fsb.

Forget Infineon, that's what I have now. While it was wonderful up to 133, above that, it fell on it's face!

Crucial has the best price at about $100 and people claim it'll do 150 MHz, but it's only rated at PC-133.

The performance of the Muskin PC-133 rev 3 or the new PC-150 is without a doubt, awesome! But, wow! It sure is super expensive and I don't think it's available in 256 meg modules. Doc suggested getting the rev 2 which is a little cheaper, but again, they're not rated for 150 speeds.

What about the Kingmax TinyBGA PC-150 RAM? Cost much less than Mushkin and only a little more than Crucial. It comes in 256 meg sticks and is rated at 150 MHz fsb, plus it's shorter than the rest so it takes up less space on that crowded mobo. Might help air flow around the ICS. I'm very tempted to give the Kingmax a try.

I've heard really good things about the KingMax PC150. It's what's going in my next system.

Is there a DDR equivalent for PC150 available? Any ram out there that is guaranteed to run at DDR 150?

Well just for your info on some Crucial PC133 cas2 ....... running 256mb in each , of two seperate systems and BOTH are @ 155 FSB ( in cas 2-2-2) speed with NO problems . Can't tell you if the Crucial will go higher , only because my Soyo 6BA+IV is MAXED OUT @ the 155 FSB setting . All-in-all , I can say Crucial's PC133 cas2 is pretty darn good at higher than rated speeds ! My .02 ;o)

I wouldn't buy anything from the OverclockerZ Store (ocz.safeshopper.com) as they have a really really bad reputation and frankly your money is worth more than those ripoff artists deserve.

http://www.pricewatch.com and http://www.resellerratings.com are a good combination for finding a trustworthy reseller. for those who are curious, the OCZ reseller rating has been reset *twice* because the ratings got so bad that people from OCZ starting spamming good reviews to it. OCZ = bad.
