View Full Version : Getting rid of an AIW 9700 Pro.... for?
I'm thinking about ditching my AIW 9700 pro and getting another card. I would like to have a card with two vga outputs as I am looking to add another monitor sometime soon. I really bought it for the tv tuner and stuff, but I havent really used it... With school and everything I dont have that much time to game, but I do like to play Generals and UT2K3 when I have the time. I think im going to go with either a 9600xt, 9600 pro, or posibly a 9700 pro. I really didnt see any nvidia cards that I liked. Anyone have any sugestions?
BTW: if you are interested in the card or somthing just send me a private.

Why!??! Why waste such a good card. Just wait for the next-gens to come out in April. The R420 is rumored to be 2x as your Radeon 9700. Just hold out until then. All the other cards you mentioned are sub-standard and expensive. You would simply throwing the money away if you buy somethin else.
If you really really want two monitors buy a cheap VGA card like an old Matrox or something.
true.... someone just hit me
EDIT: Maybe me and my card should go to counsuling or somthing :/
lol.

Hey, don't toss it out the window. Give it to me:P. Jk, but for real, here's a cheaper solution for you. How about something like this..

That's like less than 10 bucks. I don't know that it will do what you need it to, but that might be a cheaper alternative for you to look at as opposed to dropping 200 bucks on a new card. Or they may have an adapter that will turn your tv out into a vga hookup. Just an idea.
Ill just chill until the RV420 in april... That just happens to be the same month of my birthday. I will have some extra cash available ^_^
If you want 2 monitors go to a flea market and grab an 8 meg PCI card.
I was wonder when you game, does the AGP card do the rendering then send it to the PCI card or the does PCI card do the rendering for that monitor?
