I bought this chip before I knew much about overclcocking. And after spending a while on this forum I learned that this really isn't a good chip for overclocking. Up till now the highest I have had my buss was 150. So today I decided to see what I could get from this thing. I tried it at 155, no problems at all, nothing had to be changed (ram @155 2-2-2 & 1.7 voltage). Next I tried 160 with out touching the ram settings or voltage. Windows up and after 5 minuets of unreal I am assured it will be stable (I don't want to do more till I get a better heatsink). My bios only has one more setting higher for bus speed, 166! Now its time for the ghz. Bios screen is up windows 2000 starts loading and I get my first error screen. Micron pc133 ram @ 166 2-2-2 (who was I kidding). So ram goes to 3-3-3 (i can run it at 133 which is an option I plan on trying, maybe that will run 2-2-2. I'll try that in a bit. This time i get a little father before the error message. OK I say, I'll up the voltage to 1.75. I get a little father before an error message. Is 1ghz impossible with this chip I wonder. Well I put the voltage to 1.8 and that seems to do it as Windows loads all the way up. My temp for my motherboard went up 2C around with the uped voltage but my cpu temps didn't raise much from the 900 mhz overclock that I usually run. With some good cooling and a little tweaking I hope to be running this thing at 1ghz on a regular basis. I just figured I'd share my experience with you guys because I don't see much on the EB chips on here.

Which do you guys think would be a better setting for my ram...

133 2-2-2

or

166 3-3-3

I'm updating this as I go so here is the lowdown. I tried having the buss ratio set to 133:100 for cpu to ram ratio and set the cas settings back to 2-2-2, i bumbed up the voltage another .05 but i continue freeze after a couple minuets of UT. I'm thinking that I could overcome this with better processor cooling.

Ok...noone has replied to my posting yet but I shall continue on just incase someout there happens to come across this. My voltage is at 1.9 right now. I really don't want to go any higher than that. I was able to gain another minuet or so in UT before freezing. It's running a little chopy with my buss speed way up. Do you think this is the video card? It's a Creative Anhilator 2 which = gts 32mb ddr. Anyone have similar problems to this?

Try upping the i/o voltage

Get an Alpha heatsink, and try again..I have tried the rest.....Alpha's the best
