Ok I just bought the Sound Blaster Audigy Platinum and installed it last night. I previously had inegrated audio on my Giga-byte GA8PE667 Motherboard. I disabled the audio/gameport/and Midi on the motherboards bios.
When I went into the device manager there is a driver called Legacy Audio Driver, when I go to its options menu the option for disable or uninstall does not appear. I cannot figure out how to get rid of this driver and it is interfearing with my Audigy driver and causing static. Any help would be appreciated
Thanks!
Ok I just found this out....If I plug headphones into the audigy drive the sound works perfect..no static.....................so not sure if its my speakers or drivers, still think its drivers, speakers are brand new I-treagues by creative labs and they worked great before new sound card
