ok i ran my powercolor r9700pro in 3dmark 2k1 and I got 16k and in 3kmark03 i got 5k. Im pretty happy. Only one thing when i turn up the settings in 3dmark like aa to 6 it freezes. I touched the back of the card and it was pretty hot!! Is this normal? Also how do i get tv out to work so that what is on my monitor shows up on the screen?? Thanks for your help...

First of all, the 9700 is a hot card, but it shouldnt be freezing. I would look into something like that new vga silencer heatsink, that should help.

For Tv out, try just plugging it in. It should detect its using that output. If you want both monitor and tv, open display properties and where it says Display: (adapter name) select the 2nd one and check the box that says extend my windows desktop onto this monitor. DONE.

Correct me if im wrong, but tv's as far as I know use the resolution 640/480 with scanlines, meaning 320/240 pixels are shown. They are also blurry, and their pixels arent shapped the same as monitor pixels, further distoring the image. Heck, I have an HDTV and it still doesnt look that good, because even though 1024/768 looks good on a little monitor, it wont look good stretched 32 inches.

You have to set your TV as your primary monitor for that to work. Its a check box right below the Extend my windows desktop onto this monitor box.
