Yes so please could anyone tell me this. I know quite a bit of **** about amd but cant be arsed searching through every post to find out how to unlock the P3 chip.
Cheers,

I can make this real easy for ya since your in a hurry. It is not possible to unlock a p3 chip the only way to overclock is through the fsb on the mb.

With a KEY!
you should really do some back ground reading before you overclock, I remember seeing an article in a mag (overclocking articles in mags are relly crappy beginer things that are no real use other than bringing awareness of overclocking to people) which basically said that it was as easy as changing the muliplyer to the next one up, so with my p2 I went into the bios and changed to a 4x multiplyer, rebooted and nothing, I had only been using pc's for about 3 weeks and I was ****ting my self incase my dad saw what I had done, so I grabbed my motherboard manual and noticed that you could reset the bios, luckily all was fine after doing this and in the next issue of the mag they apologised to all the people that had done this and informing them of the mulitplyer lock on p2 chips, this put me off overclocking for a year until I bought a new board which had fsb settings, which were really easy to change.
