Man that's a lot of bad luck. Sometimes bad luck is really just a bad PSU or bad power (Plug it in an stuff blows up).

might be my psu :( but as for the cd rom my dad has an old 72x cdrom i didnt even know these existed LOL so ima steal this take out a payday advance and go by a psu see if that fixes anything ( or i might check my dads case and see how big the psu is in there if its over a 300w i will use it for now)

Bad power from the wall plus a cheap PSU with out over current protection kills a lot of things. My friend has a computer that would do crazy things at his house and be fine at mines. Slap a UPS on there and bam it was fine.

Thats the Kenwood 72x CD-Rom with 7 lasers... LoL

EDIT:... Yes it sounds like a bad power supply...

1 question tho... Does your monitor power cable plug into the back of the PSU on your computer or does it plug into a wall or a some kind of plug strip or something???...

If it does not plug in the back of the PSU... u might have a bad wall socket or a bad plug extension....

I am thinkings its the wall socket over anything now then...... get it checked out, remember to cut the power to the room using the fuse box.... if u have no experience then i would get an engineerer in then ...

go get one of those $5 outlet testers from just about anywhere. It sort of sounds like you might have a hot ground wire in that room. The tester will be able to tell you if the outlets are wired correctaly and if the ground is connected. It wont tell you voltage though. you'll have to get a DMM to tell you that.
