Just got a sweet Cel 633 pretested to 110 FSB, from OCWarehouse. Installed on an Abit BH6 Rev0. PC 100 mem The SS bios allows FSB 100 or 112. Won't hold at 112. Rock solid at 103 - 979 mz. with SoftFSB, but SoftFSB doesn't have increments between 103 and 112. Anybody know where to get a similar program that allows single mz increments. Temps are low. Should be able to get this baby over 1 Gig.

The fsb increasements in progs like SoftFSB depend on the mobo/chipset you sellect as they will only have certain fsb speeds that they support. This taken into accout a prog with single mhz increasements wouldn't work as the mobo wouldn't support most of the fsb speeds.

Thanks SpleNdiD I was afraid of that. This old board has served me well. 979 ain't bad for BX chips. One day might try pc133 memory. maybe that will get it over the hump.

Any one correct me if i'm wrong but if the preset fsb of the chip in 100mhz then increasing to 103mhz fsb would increase the cpu speed by 3% no?
This would mean that your 633mhz would be overclocked to about 652, not 979.
To get it to 979 the fsb speed would have to be set to 155mhz would it?
Or have I lost the plot and gone doooolaly in my youth!!!!!!!
Help can't escape going crazy aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh :)
It's the FSB times the multiplier-103 x 9.5

man next time you make a post get ssome one to check it before you go making your self look silly

the celeron has a 66mhz fsb and is usually overclocked to 100mhz fsb, he has gone an extra 3% to 103%
