Hey guys, you know how it is possible to unlock the multipliers of a duron, tbird etc by joining the level 1 bridges, is it possible to unlock a celeron? If so, what do you join/disconnect? which bridges? Help appreciated.
Daniel
no it is not possible, at least not as far as we know

seams old to you but how long have you been doing this. everyone was new at sometime
I suppose so, I found out about overclocking at the time of the p2 233 so I hit that wall straight away, but just about every overclocking website mentions how intel chips are locked and that there is no known way of over coming it, if you read one of the general celeron 2 guides they often point this out

if you switch the FSB to like 100 or 133 instead of 66 for a 466 MHz celeron what would happen?
It wouldn't boot, the highest fsb the 466 will get to is 75mhz, maybe 83 if you have a good chip, cooling and a good harddrive (ibm for example)

Phil you are wrong about the fsb thing. My mate, he had a celly 333 with standard intel heatsink and no special hard drive (maxtor) and i got it running 83fsb no probs. I'm sure its the same with 466.
Try moddin the voltage....
About the unlocking thing, Is it the same story with P3 and P4?
can you unlock a chipset?

I am not wrong, many harddrives have a hard time with a 41mhz pci bus, I know my maxtor does, most recent drives may be ok, or at least seem to be until you start noticing files are being corrupted and then the file system becomes corrupt. And you would be lucky to get the 466 to run at that speed any way, the limit of the mendicino core is about 600mhz, but many won't run that fast, to get it runnin at 582mhz you would need some good cooling, but then again you may be lucky and have a good chip.
