I'm having trouble. I set the cpu speed in the maintenance mode and it won't boot. I need a hand holder. Thanks
Thats because intel locks the multiplyer option on it's chips blah blah blah been said a about a thousand times before etc,,,. you will need to overclock the system bus which the chip multiplys for it's speed and with a dell system you will have to use SoftFSB as dell takes the overclocking functions off it's bios, I would send you it but I have been told by some one that the version I have has a virus in it even though I have used it ok for months, if you want it I will send it you but be warned I am not sure if i does have a virus but like I said it works fine on my computer. most dell 233's I have seen will do 280mhz. but this is only if your hardrive can take the high pci bus speed. other wise you should be ok at 263mhz
