Hi guys.. total newbie here.. I have a ABIT BX-1.61E motherboard (thats what it says on the cd) dual celrys 366. Now this is the motherboard my dad had, i just got from him for free... He said he had them up to 512 and stable. He said he found out how to overclock them from here so i signed up and now it's up to you guys! =) So can anyone tell me how? Thanks!

Hello Thraka, and welcome....If I were you, I would take a look at the beginers guides on overclockers.com's main page, under the link to this forum...there is some very usefull info there and it is writen so even children can understand it..It should be the first stop for any newby, from 8 to 80....I still go there, and I have been clocking since my first AMD 486dx....way back in the twentieth century :-)
Read those guides, and you will be helping others overclock, not just yourself...and if you run into trouble, we are always here..although like any board..could take minutes, hrs, to get a responce sometimes.
I don't have too much experience with dualies, but a few here do.

Ok i checked my bios and if i set the CPU OPERATING SPEED to MANUAL then i got These

Turbo Frequency - Disabled
External Clock - 66mhz (1/2)
Multiplier - x4.5
agpclk/cpuclk - 2/3
Speed Error Hold - Enabled

CPU POWER SUPPLY
Cpu 1 Voltage - 2.0
Cpu 2 Voltage - 2.0

Ok my dad said he knows he had to change voltage to 2.2
I read the Beginners Guide and that helped me get there.
My dad says he had it read 512mhz on bootup and that worked fine, but i cannot find the right combination to get it. I've had it at 500mhz but it says CPU unworkable and i have to change it again. Anyone have the right combo!? Please help thanks!!

If you crank up the fsb to 83, you should get rock solid stability @ 460
I've done this for a few of my m8s

From what I have read most people have gotten their 366's to 550 on a 100mhz fsb, they were a very popular chip among overclockers when they came out.

Does anyone have the combination to go 550 or even 500? Thanks commited and phil..

if you go to www.bp6.com there are loads of people that run dual 366@550 machines there
