I'm thinking about buying the above cpu but I was wondering about whether there are some bad chips around that I should be aware of. Having bought the worst quality PIII 650 available (average worst in cpu database) I don't wanna go getting another speggy chip.
I have an Abit SH6 and overclocking will be no problem up to 1140mhz (pci 37.5 at this speed).
So basically, is there any stepping or whatever I should be aware of ?

that's very good to hear. I'll probably get the chip in April sometime after the next price cuts are done, I think.
anyway, thanks for the advice :)
Watch out for the cDO stepping it will be out around that time. It will overclock much better than the current cCO stepping.
