Problem overclocking Intel Pentium 3 450

My Pentium run at 557Mhz that means that it has a fsb of 124Mhz, but when i want to overclock the fsb to 133 then everytime a start up my computer windows comes up with a windows register check program. So what could this problem be, I coundn't touch the voltage setting because my motherboard (Asus P2b) has a automatic voltage selector.

Then you are topped out on that chip with that motherboard. If you want faster either you keep your motherboard and get a faster chip like a 700e (p!!!) or get a better motherboard like a ABIT BF6 and get that baby to 650...

What is the code on your chip? Mine is sl44c i think, and i can't do more than 617 with standard heatsink.

Where can I find that code? and I think it's impossible to place a 700e on my motherboard because I already asked by Asus and they told me that my motherbaord was not prepared for that.
Another question is why should I buy a Abit BF6? My motherboard also supports a fsb of 150Mhz.
I've already some extra cooling, because a have a golden orb(Titan Majesty IV). The memory isn't the problem either because it's 256mb Kingston 133Mhz memory.

Obviously the chip isn't good with that motherboard if you can't change the voltage. If it was a socket chip and you had a slotkey then you would be in luck. A BF6 is a great motherboard with voltage adjustments and 1 mhz increments which means even @ 2.3v if you chip won't do 133mhz fsb just go to 130mhz fsb or whatever it is stable to. With your motherboard you have to skip 10mhz fsb. I am sooo happy i got rid of my P3v4x it used to be like your motherboard.

o yea, and where you find the code....

Look at your chip, you don't have to take it out, just pay attention.

look where the heatsink is, and look to the left of it, it should say something like p3 450 and then a whole bunch of numbers n crap like that. Look where is says slxxx and tell me that code.
