hi I recently put together a box and i am trying to understand why i cant get my mobo to use the right multiplier, i have the choice of using a Fsb of 133 but at that speed the pci is running at 44mhz, i cant change the divider, it changes with the fsb but i can change the multiplier from 4.0 all the way up to 8.0.
I am using a EUPA IBB mobo, P3800eb flip chip processor @ 1.9v, 512meg PC133, 3 4inch box fans, 1 intel hs with fan. With this set up I can only get it spining at 800, I ran cupid and saw that even though i set the multiplier to 8 it was using 6, i need some help guys, thanks.

I'm not familiar with EUPA mainboards, sorry. Your P3EB dictates its Fixed Multiplier to the mainboard. It's impossible to change it, it will always be x6. All you can do is adjust the Front Side Bus speed. P3-EB's are designed for the 133 Mhz FSB. If you must run your's at 100 Mhz FSB, in essence you're stuck with a P3E-600--that you paid too much for. Ouch!

Unless this EUPA is an inferior mainboard, you SHOULD be able to run the FSB at 133 Mhz while the PCI Bus runs at either 44.3 Mhz or 33.3 Mhz. Perhaps there's a setting in Bios that's too well disguised. It's also possible that a Bios update will fix this PCI Bus sitch.

Hold the phone. Upon re-reading your post, I see that you say "I can only get it spining at 800." No worries, mate. It's working the way that it's supposed to! Back your Core Voltage down to Spec. You're not OCing this CPU at 800 Mhz Clock speed. Don't heat it up unnecessarily.
