So I start to assemble my new computer today and I'm here at mounting my NF7-S. My SLK-947U blocks one of the mounting holes on the mobo so that means I can only use 8/9 of the holes. So I'm putting in the standoffs and I get to these weird looking holes I've never seen before (see attached image for a hand-draw-in-paint replica of shape). My case (SuperFlower SF-701 (http://www.directron.com/sf701.html)) doesn't come with any screws that appear to fit these holes. How do I use them???

Whoops, nevermind. If figured out that these (also) weird looking mounting things fit in the holes and hold screws. Now if only they'd included a few extras as I destroyed one figuring this out...

You don't need to use all the screw holes.
I usually use 7 of them in my case.
4 if I'm just testing.

With a hsf that heavy I would use all the holes especially the ones around the socket. The way I did it was cut off a little of the heatsink back plate so you can use all the mb screws as well as all the heatsink screws.
It sounds like the hole my ASUS has in the bottom corner, just use a normal screw and standoff, they work fine. Its so you can move the board around a litte. At least thats what I figured.
Ya I also trimmed a little of that backing plate on my 947 to use all the standoffs... I also filed some of that black plate on the hs base that is close to some caps on the mobo..
