My 750 runs fine on my board [Soyo 6BA+4] but the new 1ghz [100mhz FSB/SECC] is having problems. It is the retail version and I have an ALPHA for it [not installed until I can get it to work right]. Getting blue screens STOP>>> 'DRIVER_IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL_HPT366.SYS'
Have got int windows once and it was fine. Running Win 2000 Pro SP1 with latest BIOS and Highpoint drivers. Like I say it rus great with the 750... the 1gig is dealing me fits.

Try bumping up the core voltage.

You did clear the cmos when u changed the chip right?...I would say send it back to intel, who knows maybe you'll get the new stepping.
If it's unstable at default settings, it'll never work right.
Did you check it in another board?
If you want, I can test it for a year for you :-)

Well I got it going. I tried clearing the CMOS at first when I installed it... did no good. This time I cleared the CMOS, set the system to BIOS Defaults and it took right off. Played around in Windows with SoftFSB and got it up close to 1100mhz no problem. Tried 1150 and it froze up. Tore it apart and slapped the ALPHA and a dab of Artic Silver on and went back into Windows and fooled around some more. This time 1150 ran fine. Played some Quake 3 and TFC ok. Went back in the BIOS, jumped the voltage up 5%, set the FSB to 115mhz and that is where I am now...1150mhz. Will run it for a few days now then see if it maybe will do 1200
