I have a PIII 700e, 128mb 133mhz, ASUS V7700, ASUS CUV4X and a standard cooler.

I clocked my CPU to 784 mhz (FSB: 112) and in 3D Mark2000 it hang at the adventure low detail after a lot of processor thinking, I rebooted and put it back to 700 mhz (FSB: 100). At 735 mhz (FSB: 105) it did fine, but that's not high enough for me. Now what do I have to do so that it will not hang any more!

BTW my Vcore can only be raised by .5 everytime (1.65 - 1.70 - 1.75....)

That is so strange.. you have a descent cpu, mobo, vid card, etc.. and can't seem to OC much at all and this leads me to think that it could possibly your RAM. Did you know some RAM with 133mhz can't do jack @ 133 or less? I think it's rip off.. just like what happened to my previous Crucial PC133 couldn't even do 133mhz as rated. It is possible that your RAM might be the problem. Try replacing with a different RAM.

first try it with relaxed memory setings, 1.9 vcore, and 3.5v i/o. then see where you stand.

What harddrive do you have, do you have a pci sound card and if so which? I doubt it is the harddrive but check by setting it to a low pio mode in the bios (usually under integrated peripherels) also some sound cards are sensative to out of spec pci bus speeds, I have never heard of one acting like this (they usually just crackle) but if that is the case (either one of them) then a 133mhz fsb would fix them as it puts the pci bus speed at 33mhz

I must have been in a bad mood, but I can raise my Vcore by .05

I have a SB Live! 1024 and a Quantum fireball 7200r u-66 hard disc (on 133 mhz standard memory)

one word: HEAT.

Am I the only one to notice the fact that you've got a standard cooler? What type of thermal goop have you got on the Std Sink?

Try for the best cooler (GlobalWin/Taisol/Alpha) you can afford and get some Silver goop while you're at it. Then watch your temps drop and your OC go up.
