I myself never used it but I have read about people asking the same question. They were told it probably won't handle the heat load coming off the CPU enough to make it worth it. Especially considering the price.

that price is alittle high and i bet it isn't that great
if u want i could make u a water chiller for $230
I pretty good at making them here are some pics of the one i just made
this one got the water to around -40C and frozed a block of water and antifreeze

Damn dude thats sweet, I dunno if i am aloud to do this cause of the forum rules but, here goes lol. I am ganna be getting my taxes back in about 3 weeks, and I don't want to pay $500 for a vapochill and I figure if you can make that why not a direct die vapo cooler I would pay $ 300 for one and another $50 for shipping if you could do it? or if anyone could do it? I would do it myself but I am to busy right now and my parents would freak if i took the blow torch out again lol. I am sorry mods for asking this here insted of wanted but I figure I would get more reply's. I never understud why people did not build things like this and try to sell them here? well If you can do it or any one can please PM me. I am looking for somthing that can keep a cpu down to about -15 or -10c load, well if anyone can please pm me and we can work suttin out.

after looking i don't think i have all the materials to make a
direct die
so u could ether buy a vapo, prommy, mabey someone here could do it or u could buy my water chiller

Hmm well after looking at your water chiller again, I want it cause I might be able to change it down the road myself. Are you going to build me one or send me that one?

which would u prefer
if i were to build u one u would have the choice of a slient or a super powerful compressor

super powerfull for sure, for the most part I want somthing like you have in the pics but made so it's somewhat compact something I could display, ya know not all over the place lol looks neat and clean. I am ganna give you some what of a idea of what I want. I know this is $230 so I won't go nuts lol. I am ganna draw something up tonight , cause there are 2 or 3 things that I would like, such as a hookup for a charging hose so incase I change it down the road I can refill it easy. Also R134a cause that and propane are the only 2 types I could get ahold of. I am ganna make a small list and give you a idea of what I would like and i'll either post it or PM it to you tomorrow. I hope we can work this out so I get what I want and you make a profit of some kind.

i forgot to tell u but i'm going to fill it with R22 which is colder than R134a or propane(aka R290)
unless u want to fill it your self or just want one of the above gases
also i was thinking of instead of using a res using a tube in a tube heat exchanger
ex:gas goes in 3/8 and evaperates then its covered by 1/2 tubing which the water will come in and out of
this might work nicely since it will take up less room

Hmm ok thats good i'm going for temps here anyway so r22 will be good. yeah that would be cool as long as it gets good temps. I just want it to be able to fit on something about the size of a TV stand, in a area of about 3' x 3' i'll leave most of it up too you. Now i will have my taxes back in about 3 weeks, so are we agreed on $230 + $50 shipping $280 total? I just want a waterchiller that fits in a 3' x 3' area, looks nice and neat and when it comes, to be able to just plug it in and go, with temps as low as you can get them. Thx alot man for your time. just PM me with how you want to work out payment and so on. Thx again man
