thats a good overclock, especially with a bx chipset, though nvidia cards are really good at taking high agp bus speeds, though you are quite lucky to get a 96mhz agp bus, how stable is it in games? especially something like quake 3 that really uses the agp bus a lot

Whoa, I lost this post there for a while. Well, it's a bit of a story if you got the time. Yeah, humble pie my way thank yu very much. It would post and then run for about 20-30mins and lock up. Just flashed the bios to the latest rev and now I can actually run totally stable at 733. (Played HL for about 2.5 hrs last night without a single crash. Don't really play Q3 or UT. More into racing sims, N3, N4, Rally Championship etc.) Could it also be that I've been running Seti@home for the past few days as well?

As long as you don't go over 102mhz agp you should be fine...or at least that's where mine is :-)

it's differant from card to card and board to board, I had a creative tnt2 ultra on a qdi brillianX 1S that would run on a 133mhz agp bus (266 ddr, 1/1 divider) shame I pulled a peice of the bga off with a blob of epoxy.

Just to catch up and let everyone know where I'm at with this o/c. I was having quite a few problems at first and was thinking it was the cpu as it's only a cA2 steeping rev. I bought the new Crucial ram and the h/s fan combo but was still only able to maintain stability around 650mhz. Well, feeling a little disgruntalled (?) I started looking at buying a new cpu. Since I have an older BE6-2, I figured I'd flash the BIOS and get a new chip. Well, low and behold, after flashing, I'm cruising right along at 733 with no prob's. I jacked it up to 150fsb last night and was playing HL for a about an hour with no lock ups. (Thats 5.5x150=825) Ok great! Lets play some Madden 2001 football I say. Played about half a game with all the eye candy on full before it locked up. I really think it's the game though since I had the same problems even before o/cing. Oh yeah, per MBM5, high temp was 104f, low was like 93f with an average of 98f. Sys was on for about 6hrs with Seti in the background when NOT playing games. Gotta say, I'm pretty darn happy at this point, although I'm still going to upgrade to a higher cpu. Probly the 700e. One last point I'd like to add, IMHO, don't discount the benefits of a burn in process. I ran SiSandra for a few days and then started running Seti all the time in the background for a week or so. I've bumped v-core to 1.7 with I/O at 3.4 and so far so good. To all those new-B's, hang in there and don't be scared to ask questions. I worked for me!
