Sdram doesn't have a problem running slower than its rated speed. No worries. Unfortunately, Pentium mainboards are limited to a certain amount of Sdram, or Simms for that matter. It depends on the size of the Tag Sram module(s). These are also known as Coast modules, if I remember all this right.

Depends on the Specs of the mobo. Most older mobos with DIMMS will need 5Volt, buffered 50Ns SDRAM. Most I know only have a single DIMM and 4 SIMMs.
Depending on the vintage of your old Board, it might not work (& I'd hate to hear you've tried it and burnt out one of your RAMsticks thru putting in a 5V slot, when most normal PC100 is 3.3V un-buffered 8Ns SDRAM).
If memory serves me correctly, COAST is to do with Cache RAM. Think it means Cache On A STick, due to the shape of the module. and the Tag RAM limits the amount of System RAM that can be cached. Most original P1 sysyems had enough to be able to cache 64Mb of System RAM, i.e. If you were rich, lucky, or power-hungry enough to have over 64Mb, the extra ran slower than the first part.
