I have WinFast A350 (FX5900) with 5950U Bios. When I overclock GPU to 5xx Mhz I can pass all 3DMark'03 tests but problems starts when I run games. After some time the game is getting stuck then I can play again but not for long becouse is getting stuck again. Can I make my card stable by rising my AGP votage? If not can You give me some clues why it's happening? Plz help :)

The core sounds like it's crapping out. Either increase the voltage with vmod's, or give it better cooling.

Not certain how much more cooling would help, but i'm almost certain a vmod would do more good.

i don't think it's about heat becouse i'm on 34-69 full load... sorry for the question but by VMod You mean software or hardware?

hmmm I've checked it again and waited until the system reboted... after this a got a massage (it's in polish so my translation can be wrong :P) it's something like this:

Driver of screan device can't finish drawing operation. Chcek for driver actualisation. (first part)
Drivers StarStorm 53.03xQ NVIDIA GeForce FX 5950 Ultra can be responsible for system instability (second part)

I've checked NVIDIA 53.03 WHQL and WinFast A380 53.03, all of them give the same resault. Any idea what's wrong ?

Try cleaning out those "StarStorm" drivers with NFR and reinstalling with the official 53.03s.

As I said - I've checked NVIDIA 53.03 WHQL and WinFast A380 53.03, all of them give the same resault.... now I'm going to try 53.06 and 53.04 if that wont help i will start to cry :/

You didn't mention if you properly uninstalled the drivers first, so you need to do that first before reinstalling.

Eh nothing helps... but is it possible that it's becouse of my low power suplay - 300W (link to it...http://www.modecom.pl/katalog.en.php?kategoria=2&model=MODE+COM+ATX-300GT+300WPFC&send=Search)? I know that 5950 BIOS i rising the voltage for the card, maybe thats the problem?

A crappy power supply can definitely be a problem. Those new high rev cards take some serious power.

a PSU problem. The only other thing would be The bios if you flashed it your self. Thats why i extract my cards bios and edit it myself then flash back.

in the long run anyway.

Before bios flashed to 5950 Ultra, do you have this game freezed problems? I mean with and without overclock?

IF NO, then you should consider doing voltage mod on vgpu and vmem? I'm quite confident the memory is culprit for your particular problem ( from 850 to 950 MHz DDR is quite a jump without volt mod ).

You shoudl have just overclock using coolbits and run it underload to check for stability before flashing the bios. You have to make sure that the card can run at that speed stable first.
