As far as I know, most of the tests Ive seen say that copper shims make no significat difference temp difference at all. Maybe it would on less efficient ( I.E. more heat-generation) CPU's (I.E. T-Bird, Duron, etc) but Ive not seen any difference on most p3's and celly's. At least on the coppermine core ones.

After using one on a Cumine briefly, I think you're much better off by buying a HSF that's made expressly for P3E's or Duron/Thunderbirds. There was a time when no HSF's were made for the new glass slugs.

Well, when I dumped my shim my cpu temp dropped 3c. :)
