View Full Version : Intel Confidential P3 700E cCO UnLocked... Sweetness...
Hey Guys,
Been asking around and hitting up a few favors, been talking to fticomputer, alvio, and ingram micro. They are a few of my suppliers for my computer biz, anyways, been leaving hints for Intel Confidential chips... if they want to stay on my good side I think I'll hear from them shortly ;)
I've also been asking some senior members, hopefuly something will turn up, if and When that happens, I can be talked into getting my hands on a dozen or so and perhaps distributing them apon request to my fellow Overclockers.
Time will tell, but Dahmn, wouldnt that rock?
Wish me luck.

Will Do, on a side note I heard back from powerleap.com was trying to get my grubby lil paws on some enginering samples of the "clock-doubler" tech they cancled late into the game.. aperantly low combatibility/cost ratio... but I wanted to try it out on my old P233 Mobo anyways, would have gave me 12x multiplyer, at 6x66mhz now, with a ProMMX adapter and AMD K6-2 500mhz, running at a smooth 400mhz compaired to the 233mhz I was stuck on for 3 years.
Cant wait for my Vp6 to come, though after reading the front page I'm SERIOUSLY considering cancleing my order and waiting for a Dual P4 DDR board to come out with the Northwood m478 sockets... SWeettt....
Arg, to many choices!!!!!!
Good thing I'm limited by my budget!

Well so far I've gotten this, "you can 'BORROW' one indefinatly, but you cant 'HAVE' it or sell it"
Not sure exactly what they mean by that, they'll send it to me, let me keep it forever, but yet I cant actualy own it? wtf!
Well I guess, I'll go for that, better than nothing, but it sounds hella strange.
Anyideas?

I want one!!! heheh 8.0x126=1000mhz baby! :)
Those would definetly be cool :)
I am guessing they would want to keep it "secret" or something, but still, if I was you, I would definetly call that thang MINE! heheh

Not sure if its worth the trouble, got more docs today, haven to sign alot of papers, saying I cant sell it, loan it, or let anyone touch, or, use it.
they also stated that intel values these chips at 1mil, they are like an open book or something.
Its nice to know that intel (or whoever) would trust me with an chip like that, but I do not like contracts, period.
Its pretty lenghty stuff, over my head me thinks, but ah well.

Well, crank the bejeezus out of it and let us know what it will do!
I saw one of these on e-BAY a long time ago....before I really knew what they were all about. Price was quite high, I recall......

Yeah will only be good for my personal overclocking, but hey, thats good.
And if (I) ever put that chip on e-bay and got caught... ya'll wouldnt see me for a while!

What's going to happen. Are Intel's "3 Blue Guys" going to come after you?

Think you get the idea.

so what has happened so far?

Well had my regular 700E cCO chip for a while, nothing really outstanding about it, booted once at 1000+ but wouldnt load windows, must be too hot, working on a water cooling system, have a pulled hsf from a celly system (hey only cost 3 bucks.. tight times), and a huge fan hitting it from the side.
Havnt looked more into getting the other chip after they send the paper work package, by the time I had it filled out the chip would be obsolete :)
Besides, I'd need a degree just to understand the whole works, I think they make it difficult on purpose, kinda hop'n to get this chip over 1000mhz stable with a stick of cruial pc133 256mb ram, and water cooling, if not .. water proof, add insulation and pelter! ;)

Treker,
If you had that chip we could see a picture of the array in question, right?

It would be very cool adjusting very well the maximum fsb you can run it with the correct multiplier...! It would just be a bit easyer, tough the 700 is already a good multiplyer compared with the chip limit x Max fsb most of users can handle... The problem is that lots of people buy unadviced they´re processors, and buy a bad overclocker one...
