I just got two copies of A-10 Cuba but I can't get them to work on my windows 2000 boxes. The game will run on my laptop since it runs WindowsXp and Xp can do compatiblity mode.I really want to play on my main comp since my joystick, throttle, and pedals are on it.Is there any way to get windows 95 games to run on 2000?

I also really want to play this whith my cousin over the internet but A-10 only supports ipx/spx.Is there any way to get the game to connect over tcp/ip?

2000 can do compatibility modes, although they dont always solve problems. There is a program on the 2k CD called appcompat that you can use to launch a program in various modes, or one of the service packs/updates provided a tab on shortcuts that you could set compatibility stuff in.

There might be a way to use an external program to connect via tcp/ip, but it might cause alot of lag. There is a program called TCP/IP tunnel (i think) that is designed to allow programs to bypass a firewall by routing traffic to an open port, but i dont know if it would work for this, and even if it did it might cause alot of lag. My recomendation is a LAN party...

Glad this thread is still around I found out how to get compatibility to work. All you need to do is start up command prompt and type in "regsvr32 %systemroot%\apppatch\slayerui.dll".Heres were I found out about it Link (http://www.mdgx.com/2k1.htm#ECT)
I havent tested A-10 yet but I'm hopefull.Btw its recomended that you be running at leasy service pack 2 or higher.
