Anyone knows if the P3 850 ( http://208.55.249.79/PL-iP3/order.htm#PIII ) will work with 133 MHz FSB? I intend to use it on a BX mobo that dont allow any switch or BIOS changing of the FSB so 133 MHz FSB is the only overclocking option (pin A14 covered on slotket). My mobo also lack possibility to set multiplier to anything more than x8, will that affect? Can i go for FC ( thinking GW WBK38 ) or is LC a must?

If 850@1130 is like NO F***ING WAY! then i'll settle for 700@933 ...

Like you said, "850@1130 is like NO F***ING WAY!" So settle for 700@933.

it is unlikely that an 800 would overclock that high, intel chips max out usually around 1ghz and most of the time it is under 1.1ghz, I have heard a few claims or people claiming to get them up to these speeds but I doubt it could be done without a water cooler or peltier, also with intel chips it doesn't matter what multiplyer the board supports the chips are locked and run at the correct multiplyer regardless, I would recomend a 700E and overclock this to 933mhz it may not be a ghz but at least it is feasable.

UNDERSTOOD!

I'll go for the 700, but i still wonder about cooling; need LC?

You would be ok with something like the FOP 32-1, you won't need better than this for 933, maybe some Artic silver to keep it cool, by the way whats LC?

Gotta figure that's Liquid Cooling?

You can still reach or surpass 1Ghz on a 700E cC0 chip, of course that's with a descent mobo. why dont you get rid of that mobo you have and get a good one. something like... Abit BX133 Raid if you have a FCPGA CPU. Look at my sig.. it rocks with all games rock stable. I can go higher without playing games.

I'd prefer not to change mobo, gotta afford a KLX300 aswell! Anyway if the mobo cant take it i will change, probably to a BE6 or a BX6.
Them any good?

With your current mobo, it should give u no problem reaching 933 on a P3 700E. What's KLX300?
The mobo Abit BE6-2 Rev1.2 or Rev.2 is very good. Rev.1.2 has udma100 w/o Raid controller. Rev.2 has both udma100 and Raid. I dont know about BX6. Abit SH6, I've got to know that this mobo kicks arse. Very good mobo. MSI BX Master is good one too. They all are slot1 type mobos. According to "Skip"(one of the overclocker's adminstrator) says it's very good about the Abit SH6 also..

I wouldn't bother buying a new board, the speed differance between 933 and about a maximum or 1050mhz or so is not enough to warrant the expense, especially considering it ma not make 1050mhz, if I had to buy a new board as well I would go over to AMD, the only reason I bought a Celeron 600 is because I didn't want to have to buy a new board as well, but after using it for a few months I wish I had gone to the expense of a new board and amd chip
