I bought a 1.7V Celeron II 600 cC0 and a Abit VH6-II, it runs at everything up to 83 FSB even at 1.5, rock solid stable, but when I go for anything above 83 it doesn't even post, not even at 1.9 V. I am thinking it has something to do with the pci divider changing from 1/2 to 1/3? Anyone know what is going on? I have a few more days to exchange it if I want. I hear that I should get an Asus CUSL2 board.

BTW I didn't expect to get a cC0, I didn't know how to differentiate between the cB0 and the cC0. But it's a 1.7 V cpu and in sisoft sandra it says the stepping mask is C0, so I am pretty sure that it is a cC0.

What type of memory are you running?
What is the memory set at (host+PCI, host, or host-PCI)?
Did you try jumping straight for 100MHz? Trying this may work by give you the appropriate PCI divider.
What type of cooling are you running? I'm afraid stock cooling may not be enough.

Yes I tried going straight for 100, I am using one pc100 and one pc133 ram module. I am using a generic large heatsink and fan and the cpu is running about 28-30. Pretty strange. I am going to change this board to the Asus CUSL2, the chip can run at 1.45 V at 750 perfectly stable in benchmarking, and not handle a 9 MHz FSB even at 1.9V. So it is capable but something board it messed. I tried taking out all the pci card and the PC100 ram chip and unpluging the hard drive and crdroms just to see if it will post and nothing. Is there a better board I
should get?
thx
