Ideal would be to keep it below 40. However running at 45 would be considered hot but not too hot.....50 would be pushing the envelope. They are designed for 90 (this right?) but I definitely don't recommend letting it run that hot.

Keep in mind...the cooler the better.....not just for overclocking....they actually preform better at lower temps.

They'll go at 90C but only for a split millisecond.. like speakers, the max input rating isnt for sustained use but just 'peak' ... max do-a-ble...

Intel says 80C.

I too have an 800EB, at 1020 i get max temps of probably high 40's. I found burn in time drastically decreased my cpu temp. Oh yeah, and I had to bump voltage up to 1.9 to get that too.

When overclocked, try not to get them past 37-38 degrees C, and it should stay stable, enough

I agree with doc. I have an alpha and artic silver comming soon even though I am solid at a gig. Hopefully this will get it running even cooler. I am hopeing for high thirties under load.

Knob-Congrats on the oc of this poor chip. I can only get mine to 900 due to lack of fsb options.

Im running @54c totally stable. Once the case fans come in i should get less than 50C.
