I know that AMD was suppose to start lockting the 64-bits but now they are locking the Bartons? How are they being unlocked? The nforce2 boards don't unlock them anymore? Why can they still hit a 12.5 multiplier when lowered FSB? I just need info, I have been out of the processor loop for a while. Thanks.

I already have an unlocked one, but I haven't overclocked it. I don't think I want to after my 1700+'s experience. I get no noticeable gain and a lot of fan noise. My Barton has been running nothing but stock with a slk-900-u and a 92mm low speed panaflo. Thing is dead silent. It just suprised me that AMD would stab its only loyal customers in the back like this.
