Is noise a problem with your PC? If so then you need one, just make sure the the controller can handle the wattage of your fans.

I've been the owner of a Vantec Nexus for a few weeks now. The main reason I got it was to control the speed of my 92mm Tornado (cpu fan). It works pretty good but it doesn't actually do anything the first 1/3 of the dial turn. It seems that the fan throttling only kicks in during the dial's last 2/3 turn. That said, I'm pleased with it and I would buy it again if I had it to do over.

This is very worth while if noise is the issue for you! If you are satisfied withe the level of noise than don't spend the money on it. Unless, of course you want to just add a "cool" looking attachment to the computer. This can be a great tool to control the speeds of the fans for noise mainly!
