better put, can lowering my agp apeture in my bios yield more stability and/or gains in mhz's? if so, why?

thank you,

if you turn it down to 4mb I think it disbles agp transfers, which will help with out of spec agp bus speeds, but the performance loss is quite a lot

I think sum chips are just week when it comes to agp. I'll give ya an example. A p3 800 cbo wont kick worth a darn unless i turn down agp 4. Now i put in decent chip that can take a kicking an now im running at 154 with the agp at 64. The only diff was the chip. Sum are just much better than others.

U know maybe i should return that 800 to intel for sucking so badly. Think I'll do it, ya.

The AGP aperture size SHOULD be 50% of your system memory for the optimal performance, i.e. If you have 128 MB RAM the AGP Aperture size should be 64

The AGP aperture size, shouldn't have anything to do with overclockability/stability and if it does, I recommend running at a speed where it's stable with 50% of the system memory, since anything less than that will result in a performance loss.
