And, it was a bit harder to get the Golden Orb on then i thought, but i got it on!
and DAMN!!!

I'm surprised with all the money you spent on quality parts for your setup...you would settle for a gorb...while they are great up to around 800mhz, it is very few and far between that can get stable results over 950.
Please don't get me wrong, I'm not dissing you....I just feel that you could do a lot better with a Global Win FOP38, or alpha pep66, or whatever is their latest.
The gorb is fine for mild overclocking, but most here will agree that the gorb is just not up to the job, without lapping, and good thermal compound, and even then it's a little weak.
Whatever your chip will do with a gorb, it will do more with an alpha, or global win

well, ya see dude, i had stock cooling.
it ran 39+c 24hr load.
i bought this gorb in december. i like it.
it does wonders for slower chips. and with a bit of modding, it'll cool a k6-2 beatifully. aslo, i just fully read what you said, and you see, breaking 600 with a 400 is an elite club.... those mendocinos arent supposted to go that high....
i just need a bit more Vcore (crashes on winboot @2v 600)... the GORB will do just fine. but, this is why i keep it around:
my GORB never-EVER maxes out over 29c

this is a p2 core!!
i wont use this gorb ever again on anything else other then this chip, and i wont be buying another intel (unless northwood is better then athlon.... YEA RIGHT!!) for now, and this ummer i'll prob get a DDR asskicker setup from ABSUS (i still cant believe they merged! best of both worlds!! [ABit+ASUSTeK] )

get me a duron and 128 megs + DDR and a new mobo....
i just gotta get a computer!!!
