hello what are chancesz to get sammy ram on 9800pro?? i was thinkin of gettin one itz 385 caD or 320 american i think.

Fairly low, I think. Most new 9800pros seem to be coming with Hynix. There's not much of a difference between the two, though.

My GeCube 9800Pro Extreme 128Mb has samsung ram.. running @ 770 artifact free :D

You shouldn't be concerned. If you get a card with Hynix memory, consider it underclocked memory straight off a 9800XT if that would make you feel better.

The old differences that use to exsist dont anymore. They are both great ram.

I got hynix memory on my new 9800pro. I can get mem. up to 400 with NO artifacs. This is just with good case air flow, and NO ramsinks.

I have ramsinks and a 120mm fan that will be in my casewindow blowing air onto the card. So I'm pretty excited :)

But, I've seen that a lot of people with hynix memory usually have a lower core speed. Mine can go to 420, with no art's. But like every other oc'able part, it's all luck :)

i have a ATI 9800 PRO AIW from Staples.com, which i got like 3 weeks ago, and it has samsung ram!

hm, a friend of mine has a saphire radeon 9800 pro, and it just died yesterday. It shows weird colors all over the screen (also in dos and the bios and everything) and sometimes it just locks up when trying to boot into windows. We tried the card in another computer with another monitor, but same results. Very weird this but he's going to bring it back tomorrow, he should get a new one.
