help enabling HT on P4c 2.8c

I just bought this and my OS is originally set in the device manager to Advanced Configuration and Power Interface PC (ACPI)

I know I have to get this to ACPI multiprocessor or uniprocessor PC, but how it wont let me switch the drivers for it.
The only other option I have is Standard PC...from standard PC will it let me choose the multiprocessor or uniprocessor one?

Or is a reload my only option?

if I reinstall XP on top of itself will this make it work? or do I have to reformat.

LOL Im tryin to avoid that, everything is fine, but wondering if there are any tricks to get it back to ACPI Multiprocessor PC

found solution lol

hit F5 when it says to hit F6 to install raid or scsi driver on setup.

woot now I can just install over itself... =)


F5 allows u to choose the HAL
