and if they are any good (they are not expensive) is this a decent one: (insert guy's ebay spiel here)

110 AC input 12 volt 13 amp DC output power supply, with adjustable output. I was able consistently to adjust from about 9 volts up to about 15 volts. If you go much beyond either way the voltage starts to fluctuate. Each one tested and set to 13.8V (+/- .04)

UL Listed
+12 -12 DC Volts out

100 - 120 AC Volts in

7 7/8" x 3 3/4" x 2 5/8"

Model # K150AU-12 or

Model # R150U-12

it would be for a 40mmx40mm tec (for gpu) rated up to 110watts and 15volts @10amps. Now I read that a tec's "sweet spot" is 85% its rated volts. That is about 12.7 for this tec. It all seems to be in spec, and the voltage is adjustable. it's cheap, should I get it?

good to know :-) I thought it might be. I just found out how to link two atx psu's together for desired voltage/amperage - it's useful stuff, to be sure, but I can get this for the same price as 2xfortron 280watt units, woth less space taken, and now no one can yell at me for using atx....
