I don't think there's an unlockin procedure out yet.

I'm also in anticipation of somebody trying it. I'm just not that bright

From the multitude of threads around here it doesn't look like the the good folks who are trying are gonna find a way round the locked Bartons. Not anytime soon from the looks of it.

I bet someone finds a way though when the next best AMD OC'ing chip is out and peoples interest of the Barton's has moved onto that one. Then someone from the AMD company themselves will probably post anonymously in a forum somewhere the Golden "How 2 Unlock the Barton Multiplier".

Until that day the newer 2500+Bartons being locked down at 11x is pretty fair of AMD as mostly everyone can OC the fsb to at least 200 and therefore basically being a AMD Athlon "Barton" XP3200+ 400FSB at way cheaper than the real thing. Hell thats what I am running my Unlocked Barton at right now since my mobo doesnt have lockable PCI/AGP buses. Still fast as hell though. Hasen't anyone noticed that the 2500+ Barton just isn't going down in price at the normall rate as it probably should have by now!!;)
