maybe a noob question but here goes:

If i have a 2600+ overclocked to 2.2mhz is it really as fast as a 3200+ or does just have the same Mhz??

I mean would they run just as fast as each other and as smooth or what? Does anyone have benchmarks comparing something like this??

I don't have any benchmarks, but I would say that since the 2600+ has the same 512M L2 Cache, if it's running at 2.2Ghz (like the 3200+) and you have at least a 400Mhz FSB, it's running JUST AS FAST. Those are the 3 things that affect CPU's speed by itself. Cache, FSB and Core Frequency. If your FSB is running 400MHz FSB or faster, aside from the rest of your system, it's JUST AS FAST as a 3200+.
