I'm new to the overclocking game since I just got my first overclockable chip which is a celeron 466. I have it oced to 584. Any help here is welcome. I would like to know what my system and cpu temps should be and if there is anything else I can do to improve stability. The cpu temps so far fall between 29-34 degrees C according to my bios. it seems to run cooler with the case cover off.
here are my specs
I'm air cooling with an Alpha PAL6035 Heatsink w/ Sanyo Denki 60mm Fan
(http://pchertz.com/alpha6035.html)
abit bx 6 rev 2 motherboard
768 megs of pc133 ecc ram in 4 slots
diamond viper 550 with my old intel cpu fan attached for cooling
two 5400 rpm hds
diamond sound card
3com ethernet card
56k winmodem
floppy and a 40x cd drive
I have most of the shadowing turned off in the bios except video. i have the cpu voltage set to 2.05 since it seems more stable than 2.0. I'm using the 7 multiplier and the bus speed is set to 83. agpclk/cpuclk is set to 2/3. ecc memory is also enabled. the system seems stable right now.
Thanks for your help
I just checked the bios. The cpu runs at 29C with the case cover off and 34C with the cover on.
