HMMM, thats odd. According to the Step spec chart, the SL3XU is a cBO 600/100 mhz OEM coppermine.

I noticed in the 650 column, a OEM chip with the Spec of SL3XV . Does your chip also say that it is definately a 650 on the black plastic cover?.

unless im going blind it is for sure a 650. Its eched on the damn chip, the bios reports it as that, and i have a coulple of utilities that say so. Acually, i also used intel's ID utility to see if it would tell me anything too, but that just said "PIII 650/100: Running Specs, test passed"

Well thats straight from the Step spec chart which is accessable through the CPU Database on this site. Might be a typo...WHo knows?
I had a 650/100 SL3XK that went to 866 using a Golden Orb cooler and PC 133 ram....not too shabby.
