Current System Specs:

PIII-700
Asus P3V4X
128MB PC100 Kingston SDRAM
20.5 Western Digital HD
Leadtek GeForce 2 GTS
SB Live! Value
Pioneer DVD 16x
Linksys 10/100 NIC

Now, I ham still waiting for my 3 case fans and Golden Orb to arrive, so I ain't pushing my CPU too hard, but whenever I go above 124Mhz FSB, I usually up the voltage or it deosn't boot to 1.70. Windows 98SE keeps giving me odd errors on startup, like doing a registry checker or just shutting down. I think it is a power supply issue as I only have a 250W PS. Should I go to a 300W? Anyone know how to check if my CPU is a cB0 or cC0? I bought it last summer, so probably a cB0? Email or reply THANKS!

It seems to be a memory probs, not Ps, coz you have a Pc100 module (up to 100Mhz Fsb), not Pc133 (up to 133 Fsb) and if you wanna set Fsb@124, or more, you need at last a Pc133 mem module.
About the revision of your PIII, use Sisoft Sandra, look under CPU & Bios at stepping mask.

Have a nice O/C.

Thank you so much! That makes sense.....I'll sell this to some jack-ass and go pick up some Mushkin or Crucial!

If I can, I want suggest you to wait till you've Gorb & Fun in, and after replace mem with Mushkin rev.2 or 3, coz I don't know what Fsb Kingston can reach and also what are your temps @idle and @full load :-)

Have a nice O/C.

When i built the machine I have presently i built two, I've sold one but that one was almost exactly like yours. It had 384mb of IBM pc100 RAM not much of a video card and some scsi HD's, I used it as a game server. But I used an alpha 3125 hs with some large fans and got it to be stable at 1008mhz. I don't know what setting you are trying but you have to set the BIOS FBS multiplyer to where it lets the memory around 100mhz when the fbs for the CPu is 133. I can't remember the exact name and I'm at work right now. but try that setting and take it from there. I only had to get it to 1.75volts and that HS/fan. I know this is really basic but It took me alittle to get it all figured out by myself. Hope this helps
