Hmm ok. I was originally going to go with a stick of mushkin black 3500. Would that get it up to 3.4+ ghz? Or would i have to go with corsairs?
Btw ya is7 is awesome :D

well IS7 currently only support Dual DDR400 PC3200 (check the website for specific memory)
i just order the dual kit OCZ EL 2x256mb PC3500 as well lol hoping it will be compatible and run at full dual speed. I really want to push my rig to 3.5g stable

hmm i fu get mushkin then get black level II i think they are BH7 ram..
or get corsair xms series and make sure v1.1 cuz its BH5 or else it ain't and you won't get much out of it eheheh

I would usually recommend BH-5 memory (Mushkin Black Level 2) but since it's prices have been going up due to supply drying up, it's about time to start recommending other stuff :)
BH-5 memory was good for a tRCD of 2 above 200MHz. But the differance between 2-3-2 and 2-2-2 timings is only significant if your looking at benching for the fastest system. If you do want to build a system using the fastest possible parts, this memory would probably be it. But if your not going to really push it, then it's not really worth it. Check the BH-5 Pricelist sticky for prices.
OCZ is pimping their binned ProMOS chips in their new PC-3700 Gold Rev. 2. This memory isn't cheap, but, seemingly from other's experiences, it seems to be relatively headache free memory. Offering DDR466+ speeds while maintaining a tRCD of 3 is very good.
Memory with Hynix "BT-D43" chips can be had for relatively cheap by scanning low-cost Kingston Value-Ram from B&M stores (like Best Buy, ect.). These allow for high-speeds but with the highest timings (3-4-4). Pushed hard, these could give you DDR550+ (275FSB+) speeds.
Winbond CH-5 memory combined with the right system (which is a matter of luck more then anything else) can perform quite well. Older chips with other systems, however, can perform downright lousy. There are several mystical expiriences that make it sound like this memory can perform amazingly well. But these are few and far in-between.
As you can see, it's not the ideal situation for memory. For all of these (expect BH-5), going by the motto, "Newer is Better," should increase your chances of being happy with your memory for as long as DDR lasts.

if its between OCZ and mushkin, go with mushkin. all muskin black level II are pretty much guaranteed to have BH-5, so It will OC much better, also I would buy some PC-3500, especially when your OCing b/c then there isnt much of a cap on the speeds. Oh and about the corsair I just ordered some Corsair XMS 256 PC-3500C2 (BH-5). some of the last of it off of newegg
(link: http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=20-145-459&catalog=147&manufactory=BROWSE&depa=1 )
that stuff is supposed to OC very well, and stably too.
Just make sure that if at all possible you get ram with BH-5. otherwise there will be a definate cap on your OCing, from what people have been finding out Its around 210Mhz 2-3-2-6(some may have got better, thats about average though) stably.
