View Full Version : Opinions on .13 micron? Worth waiting for?
Well as some of you may know, i find it's time to upgrade this old machine. Do you think that the .13 micron is worth waiting for overclocking or not? Or would it be a better idea to hit a 700e sometime soon and shoot for 933(All I want from it)?
Just looking for others opinions on the subject. I don't know much about it, maybe someone else does.

I shoould think they would be worth the wait..the cCo was...b4 that, the cBO was...would the next be cDO?
it could be a dark horse, but given intel's record with the PIII's lately, I would be optomistic, with their newest release...I mean the cCO is by far the best PIII so far, I think they will debeut at 1.2g...and they might also still put out 700's as they are still in great demand..I would think a cDO 700 would give us goosebumps looking at high clock speeds.
Ahh, Well I don't know as of yet. I want a 700e cC0 but I just don't know. You know what I mean? If I could get myself a decent video card, I could still hit "decent" framerates on most of the newer games. More ram too, 128mb sucks. Hell this computer sucks mostly. I need SPOP. (Spare parts of puters) :) Well I will probably have to wait but not sure yetm I probably will though. :) Thanks for the though Doc

why do the best thing and get both! If not, then wait, you will get a much better machine.

also, consider the GeForce3(.13u) family cards in the future. They are freakin fill-rate monster. Talk about future games with super high-Res'ed with pretty colors.., get one of them especially when the next revision from the first GeForce3 comes out later.. the price should come down as well.
oh and I know that P4's .13u will be perfect combination package with the GeForce3. Them two will know how to fully get the juice out of each other.

Just remember that the .13 "Tuatalin" is not going to run on any current Intel chipset. They will be coming out with a new new one for it. It will not even be Socket 370 anymore.
Might even wait for the P4 Brookdale SDR chip set. However IF I were running Intel (heh heh) I would make Brookdale DDR and smoke me some AMDs....
