why is it doing this? any ideas?
on boot up it says im running dual channel? would this have anything to do with it?

I think that is your second video port.

it is most definitely the secondary connector on the video card. it sees the dvi port as a secondary "card". it is just detecting the other port, nothing to worry about :)

Mine does the same thing. I have disabled the second instance. I was wondering if your comp is memory hungry and if so if this could be part of the problem. I average only 308-320 free on a 512 mb system running w2k????

go into msconfig and quit programs. im running xp and its not doing bad.
just incase you dont know what i mean
start/run/ type in msconfig then click on stratup tab then remove the things that you probably dont want to start up anyways.
it makes the comp boot a little faster also.
