i have a P4 , Asus mobo.... with 256SDRAM
If i get 512 will i notice any huge improvements? And should i leave one 128 stick and add the 512 take both out and only install the 512?

You need 2 or 4 sticks of matched ram.

Are you using ddr or sd ram? either way you don't need 2 or 4 sticks an odd number will work just fine. If you have a dual channel mobo like the 865 or 875 chipsets then 2 or four is best but not required. More memory would do you some good. Though if your running an sd ram board I'd strongly suggest upgrading to at least a ddr board.

my mobo is Asus P45T33-C and it has 4 slots for memory.

do yourself a favor, get a dual channel mb. there are some good ones for under a 100 that will run the 533 and 400 fsb p4's.. plus u will get a big increase in performance...
