Nothing with intel is ever exciting like with AMD. With these new AXIA chips they can reach an overclocked speed of 1500 with a 1 gig tbird. AIR COOLED!! Intel chips always stay the same, the only thing that changes is the core (cB0 cC0). I am getting myself a 1 gig AXIA chip for 150 and a EPOX 8kta3 motherboard and am hoping to hit 1300, should be easy.
Just thought i get your guys opinions.

Come on...you don't think watching the Pentium 4 fail and get laughed at isn't exciting.

LoL, true, but do you think it is that much of a failure?
I think the P4 is just like the Geforce III, too much hype, but since they are sooo advanced for there time, there is nothing out right now that really utilises there full potential. I think if you wait 6 months or so, there should be some heavy duty games that will actually use new technology, and will unleash some phat fps! For me, I am going to get a 1 ghz AXIA chip and from what i heard with a Peltier hitt 1.6ghz should be easy. After i get my new chip & mobo, i will be getting a ELSA 5ns Geforce II PRO for 210. AHHHH gotta love new setups, i can only dream for another couple days, before it gets here !!! HAHAHEHEHAHAH

Gotta agree w/ ya there....
I'm a intel/Chevy guy...lets put whats going on w/ the P4 and the new AXIA chips in an automotive perspective (Chevy=intel, Ford=AMD)
This would be like Chevy (intel) dropping the Corvette (P///), and replacing it by reintroducing the Chevette (P4), while Ford (AMD) drops the Mustang and reintroduces the 427 Cobra.
ouch....
I'm a bit curious to see what comes of this new "Northwood" P4 I'm reading about...2.1GHz for starters? Hmmmmm....Let's see what that will do.
Could make for an interesting 2002, if it is ready on time (I read 2002 somewhere, that these will be ready to go).
